Assistant Professor
Soumika Aich Roy is an accomplished legal scholar and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law, specializing in Tort and Crime. Her academic journey and professional achievements reflect a deep commitment to legal education, research, and practical application in various domains of law.
Soumika completed her B.A. LL.B (Hons) from the Department of Law, University of Calcutta (Hazra campus), laying the foundation for her academic pursuits. She further pursued her LL.M. with a specialization in Tort and Crime from the same prestigious institution, the University of Calcutta, where she excelled in her studies and research.
Her professional journey includes significant contributions to legal education and training. Soumika has previous experience working in the Department of Legal Science at Techno India University, Kolkata, where she likely engaged in teaching and research activities. She has also demonstrated leadership as a course lead for internship programs organized by KMCT Law College, Kerala, indicating her proactive role in student development and practical legal training.
Beyond academia, Soumika has actively contributed to the professional development of law enforcement personnel. She has delivered special lecture sessions for the legal training of West Bengal Police cadets at the esteemed Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy, Barrackpore, enhancing their understanding of legal principles and applications in law enforcement.
